Midland Still Uncertain of GXT-5000 Release, Might Run Out of Radios

A leading manufacturer of wireless radios may run out of supply until the middle of the year.

This was our conclusion after the short conversation between HiTech Wireless owner Thomas Ward and Midland staff at the CES 2012 in Las Vegas last two weekends ago. According to Midland, they still do not know when they are going to have the Midland GXT-5000, a professional series FRS GMRS two way radio, as the factory that’s in charge of making them has been underwater for quite some time now.

Worse, Midland said they might be out of some radios until the middle of the year.
